Google Chat supports Imoticons, AIM and Group Chats

AIM on GChatAfter introducing Free IMAP access in Gmail, as they always say, the GMail team was been busy! This time they have added many useful small additions to GMail. The main one being support for AIM chat. you can just use your AOL Instant Messenger user name and password to login. More details are given at the Gmail Help center : About AIM in Gmail The contacts from AIM are shown with an additionalAIM Icon : theodoricon on the side to easily identify them Actually where is Google heading to giving you so much pace and free services I wonder.
The GMail team had already introduced Imoticons and Group chat in Gmail. They have also introduced colored Labels now. Previously the labels were simply text only. but now you can assign colors to labels to identify the label of an email easily. Coloring the label is really useful when you are searching lots of mails from All Mail. But the number of colors is limited to 24 colors. It will not be long before they allow you to add custom colors to Labels. Hope it will not be long before allowing the custom color option.
